Hey folks!,
I went to the show last night and it was fantastic. Houston's musician community was out in full force....thanks to it being an early (8 pm) show, a lot of the local cats were able to take in the show before heading to their gig. Chad Wackerman played drums and Jimmy Johnson played Bass. Chad was incredible , playing tastefully, artfully , and at times- furiously. Jimmy is a total groovemiester and his Bass has these great Piano-ish timbres.
Of course Allan is a pinnacle of electric guitar.......this is an undisputed fact. Known for striking and complex chord voicings and blazing, completely original shredding.
And while there are legions of players around the planet deeply influenced by the "Holdsworth school" of guitar.
There is NO ONE on the planet that does what he does, the way he does it.

After the concert I found Allan on the back porch with a Texas made beer.
Knowing that Allan Holdsworth is a bona-fide Ale Connoisseur
from the U.K. no less, I was pleased.
I won't name the brand but i think it was brewed in Shiner, Texas. Wink

I got to chat with him for a bit, then Mr. Holdsworth and Mr.Johnson took some pictures with me.

"I'm not worthy"!!! Smiley

Any C.D. Allan has recorded in the last 20 years is worth buying.
